McDonald’s is bringing back its Boo Buckets for Halloween with a new Disney Villains collection, launching at participating restaurants nationwide on 20 October 2026.
The Disney Villains Boo Buckets Happy Meal will be available for a limited time, while stocks last. Customers are advised to check with their local restaurant or the McDonald’s app for availability.
Which Disney villains feature in the Boo Buckets collection?
The 2026 range includes five designs based on well-known Disney characters: Jafar from Aladdin, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Scar from The Lion King, Cruella from One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.
The buckets come in red, white, orange, green and purple. Each has a villain-themed lid and a sticker sheet featuring character artwork and other themed details.
McDonald’s said the collection offers different designs for Disney Villains fans, including styles inspired by “fabulous flair”, “mystical magic”, “fierce ambition” and “sea-witch swagger”.
The original Boo Buckets were first introduced in 1986 and have since become one of McDonald’s best-known Halloween promotions. The seasonal pails can be kept as collectibles or used for trick-or-treating.
As the Disney Villains Boo Buckets are being offered only for a limited period, collectors may want to visit participating restaurants early once the promotion begins.
