Meghan Markle has launched a $215 Christmas advent calendar inspired by her Montecito home and garden, with 24 handcrafted chocolates created in collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.
The limited-edition product was offered for pre-order through the Duchess of Sussex’s As Ever brand. Its packaging features an illustration of the Californian mansion, while the box carries the message: “A magical celebration of the season.”
The chocolates are described as being “thoughtfully inspired by our Montecito garden” and intended to “sweeten each day”. Each piece is numbered in Meghan’s handwriting and finished with hand-painted edible gold.
The flavours include As Ever’s strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade spreads, alongside a chocolate decorated with the brand’s flower sprinkles and a Compartes dark chocolate ganache truffle.
The calendar is not currently available for delivery to the UK or Australia. As Ever, whose products also include flower sprinkles, jam and wine, ships only within the US.
The keepsake design was showcased on the brand’s Instagram, where Meghan was pictured opening one of the numbered doors while seated on a window seat in a neutrally decorated room.
In an earlier social media video, Meghan was seen driving a golf buggy with Compartes chief executive Jonathan Grahm beside her. The footage was captioned “Christmas planning in June” and showed sketches of the house, as well as the Sussexes’ labrador Pula carrying a soft toy shaped like an As Ever strawberry jam pot.
The launch comes just over a month after Meghan and Prince Harry moved back to the UK. The couple relocated there at the end of August, six years after stepping away from the working monarchy to begin a new life in the US.
