Dame Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy appeared together at a charity event in London on Friday, continuing their public show of friendship less than 24 hours after their reunion at the MobLand season two premiere prompted speculation about reported tensions behind the scenes.
The pair posed for photographs at BGC Group’s annual Charity Day at the company’s offices in Canary Wharf. Mirren was supporting Denville Hall, a care home for retired actors and other members of the creative and performing industries.
Hardy and Mirren also joined brokers on the trading floor, making phone calls and taking part in financial trades to raise money for charitable causes. The event is held in remembrance of the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees and 61 Eurobrokers colleagues who died in the September 11 attacks.
BGC Group and Cantor Fitzgerald donate 100 per cent of their global revenues from the day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and other charities. The 2026 event took place on Friday, September 11, marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
The appearance followed Thursday night’s MobLand premiere at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, where Mirren and Hardy were photographed embracing on the red carpet alongside co-star Pierce Brosnan.
Reports of friction during the filming of the Paramount+ crime drama’s second series had raised questions over Hardy’s future with the show. Mirren has repeatedly defended her co-star, while Brosnan described the alleged disputes as a “storm in a teacup” at the London premiere.
At the charity event, Mirren and Hardy stood together for further photographs before getting to work, with the actor opting for a casual green T-shirt while the Oscar-winning actress wore a black blazer.
