Nepal is attempting to rebuild after a flash flood killed at least 1,400 people and left more than 5,000 missing.
The disaster struck on the morning of 26 August, when rock and ice swept down from a high Himalayan mountain through the country’s valleys, destroying homes, villages and bridges.
Rescuers have continued searching for those unaccounted for, while aid workers provide shelter and support to traumatised children and families affected by the flood.
The catastrophe is the latest in a series of natural disasters to hit Nepal in recent years as climate change accelerates.
The recovery effort is focused on saving lives, supporting displaced communities and rebuilding areas devastated by the deadly flood.
