Milwaukee is set for a frosty start on Saturday, followed by a run of mostly dry and unseasonably mild weather before temperatures turn cooler in the middle of next week.
FOX6 meteorologist Lisa Michaels said thick frost was expected during the morning, with temperatures close to or below freezing. Skies should then clear, allowing the afternoon temperature to reach about 51F (11C) under mostly sunny conditions.
The forecast comes after Milwaukee recorded its first temperature of 36F or lower for the season on Friday, November 6. CBS58 reported that the date tied with 1900 and 1940 as the second-latest first frost in the city’s recorded history; the latest was November 12, 2016.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of about 37F (3C). Patchy frost remains possible inland, while winds from the west are expected to remain light at between 5mph and 10mph.
