Fall-like conditions are expected to settle across California’s Bay Area for most of the week, with cooler temperatures and mostly sunny skies replacing warmer weather.
San Francisco is forecast to reach about 18C on Monday, with temperatures dipping to around 12C overnight. Light to moderate winds are also expected, particularly near the coast and across exposed parts of the region.
The National Weather Service said temperatures would remain slightly below normal through the rest of the week. Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high of about 17C, while Wednesday could bring a brief rise to around 19C.
Conditions are then forecast to turn cooler again from Thursday, with daytime temperatures in San Francisco easing to roughly 17C before falling to about 16C on Friday.
Forecasters are also monitoring a chance of rain towards the weekend, although the immediate outlook remains largely dry across the Bay Area.
