South Korea has threatened Ukraine after Kyiv transferred two North Korean prisoners of war captured while fighting for Russia to Seoul, deepening a diplomatic dispute between the two countries.
The disagreement began with Ukraine’s decision to hand over the two North Korean POWs. Seoul and Kyiv have remained locked in a dispute over the transfer.
The men were captured while taking part in fighting for Russia before being transferred by Ukraine to South Korea.
