The Spice Girls’ 14-CD anniversary box set contains 13 versions of their breakthrough single Wannabe, as the group’s latest release places a heavy emphasis on remixes and alternate edits.
The Singles Collection is being issued to mark 30 years since the release of the group’s debut album, Spice, rather than the 27th anniversary suggested in some early reports. It will be released on 6 November 2026.
The 14-disc set contains 160 tracks, including the original singles, B-sides, rare remixes and previously unreleased recordings. Among the versions of Wannabe are mixes by Motiv8, Dave Way and Junior Vasquez, alongside instrumental, karaoke and “no rap” edits.
The collection also includes separate bonus discs for Step To Me and Tell Me Why, while a final disc features demo recordings. The track listing includes four previously unreleased demos, among them Do You Think About Me, described by the group’s official store as one of their earliest recordings.
The set is housed in a handbag-inspired box with recreated artwork, five collectable art cards, a 32-page booklet containing new messages from all five members and a numbered card. An acrylic charm commemorating the 30th anniversary is also included.
The release covers the group’s singles from Wannabe through to Headlines (Friendship Never Ends), their 2007 comeback single. A coloured-vinyl edition featuring 14 seven-inch records is being released alongside the CD version.
Official Charts reported that the CD box set is priced at £94.99, with a poster bundle available at a higher price. The extensive track list has nevertheless prompted criticism from some fans, who have questioned whether repeated remixes and alternate versions justify the size of the anniversary collection.
