An 80-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have died after a light aircraft crashed north-east of Drymen in Stirling.
The aircraft got into difficulty before coming down at about 4.45pm on Friday, 16 October. Emergency services attended the scene, where both victims were pronounced dead.
Police Scotland said the pair’s next of kin had been informed. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has also been notified and inquiries are under way to establish the circumstances of the crash.
Temporary airspace restrictions have been introduced over the Drymen area to allow the investigation to continue. The restrictions are expected to remain in place for some time and include drones.
Police said people must check whether it is legal to fly in the area, warning that flying in restricted airspace is a criminal offence.
