Three people have been charged after police alleged that a man’s body was interfered with at a funeral home in Browns Plains, Logan.
The two men and one woman allegedly knew the deceased and had arranged to view his body at the funeral home at about 1pm on Friday.
Police allege one of the men interfered with the corpse before leaving the premises ahead of officers’ arrival. The other two accused were arrested at the scene.
Officers later went to a home in Browns Plains at about 6.30pm, where they arrested the man who had allegedly fled.
The men, aged 47 and 38, and the 43-year-old woman have each been charged with misconduct with a corpse, entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
All three are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
