Travis Kelce attended a Cleveland Guardians game on Saturday night, watching the team defeat the Chicago White Sox in a decisive American League Division Series play-off.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was at Progressive Field in Cleveland for Game Five, a winner-takes-all contest that ended in a 2-0 shutout victory for the Guardians.
Wearing Guardians merchandise, Kelce was seen celebrating José Ramírez’s home run and jumping for joy during the game as Cleveland secured its place in the American League Championship Series.
Kelce became a minority owner of the Guardians earlier this year. The result therefore marked a significant victory for the NFL star, whose childhood links to Cleveland remain strong despite his long association with Kansas City.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has previously spoken about wanting to give back to the city that helped shape him. His investment in the baseball team was one of the most prominent ways he has done so.
Taylor Swift was not seen in the stands, despite recently releasing a new song titled “Cleveland!”. Kelce instead appeared to be enjoying an evening out with friends during the Chiefs’ bye week.
The Guardians will next face the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series, with Game One scheduled for Monday.
