US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has given a rare interview ahead of the publication of his first book, discussing the future of the court and changes in the rhetoric used by political leaders.
Speaking to Jan Crawford, Mr Alito reflected on the Supreme Court, its role and the wider political climate surrounding it.
His book, So Ordered: An Originalist’s View of the Constitution, the Court and Our Country, sets out his perspective on the Constitution, the court and the United States.
The interview comes as attention focuses on the future direction of the Supreme Court and the language used by political figures.
