A woman is fighting for her life after being shot in the head inside a house in Philadelphia’s Bridesburg neighbourhood, police said.
Officers were called to the 4700 block of Benner Street at about 8.45pm on Wednesday, where they found the woman critically injured.
She was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have not released her identity or provided further details about her condition.
Investigators believe she had only recently moved into the property. They said there was no evidence of forced entry at the scene.
No description of the shooter was immediately available and no further details about the circumstances of the attack have been released.
