Liverpool are tracking Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki ahead of the January transfer window, with Newcastle United and several leading European clubs also reported to be monitoring the 21-year-old.
Sadiki has attracted attention after establishing himself as an important member of Sunderland’s squad. The DR Congo international has started 11 of his 12 appearances across competitions this season, having made 35 appearances during the previous campaign.
Liverpool and Newcastle monitor Sunderland midfielder
Liverpool are understood to be considering a move for Sadiki as they assess options to add energy and quality to their midfield. His ability to contribute defensively and carry the ball forward is believed to have increased his appeal.
Newcastle are also said to be following the midfielder’s situation closely. Juventus, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have reportedly registered an interest, while Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the Sunderland player.
Sadiki’s versatility could further strengthen his prospects of attracting a move. Although primarily a central or defensive midfielder, he can also provide cover at right-back when required.
Sunderland could demand up to €60m for Noah Sadiki
Sunderland are not expected to make it easy for interested clubs to secure his services. The club signed Sadiki from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2025 and handed him a contract running until 2030.
Reports suggest Sunderland could seek between €55 million and €60 million for the midfielder. Performance-related bonuses and a sell-on percentage could also be included in any deal.
Liverpool could benefit from Sadiki’s work-rate, ability to regain possession and flexibility across the midfield and defence. However, it remains uncertain whether they would be willing to meet Sunderland’s valuation when the January window opens.
