A 31-year-old woman was stabbed in the arm while trying to break up a fight outside a home in Chicago’s Austin neighbourhood early on Saturday.
Police were called to the 4800 block of West Adams Street at about 2.30am, where the woman had been with a group of people outside the property.
According to investigators, she intervened in the altercation before being struck in the right arm with a sharp object. She did not see who attacked her.
The woman made her own way to Loretto Hospital before being transferred to Stroger Hospital. She was reported to be in good condition.
Detectives in the area are investigating, and no offender has been identified.
