San Francisco 49ers supporters gathered at the Old Wagon Saloon in San Jose’s San Pedro Square to watch the team begin its 2026 season against the Los Angeles Rams.
The official watch party was hosted by the 49ers at the downtown venue, where fans followed the opening game on screens and celebrated together throughout the evening.
The match was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on Thursday, September 10, marking the first regular-season NFL game to be staged in Melbourne.
The Old Wagon Saloon had advertised games, raffles and drink specials for the event, along with an appearance by former 49ers wide receiver John Taylor, a three-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
The venue, at 73 North San Pedro Street, is listed in the 49ers’ official network of bars showing the team’s games.
