Simon Guobadia has been indicted on two felony tax charges in Georgia, with prosecutors alleging he helped prepare and file false federal tax returns.
The former husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams was indicted in federal court on Tuesday, according to court documents.
Prosecutors allege that Guobadia reported no taxable income in paperwork filed in March 2021, despite allegedly knowing he had earned more than declared. The documents also accuse him of underreporting sales made by his company, Simcol Petroleum Limited, which recorded more than $45 million in gross sales.
The allegations concern a second filing made in July 2021. Guobadia is accused of reporting taxable income of $58,231 while the company listed almost $31 million in gross sales.
Prosecutors claim he knew both his taxable income and the company’s gross sales were higher than the figures submitted.
Court records also show that an arrest warrant has been issued for Guobadia. It is unclear whether he has been taken into custody.
Guobadia married Williams in November 2022, but she filed for divorce in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage. Earlier this year, Williams secured the couple’s multimillion-dollar Atlanta mansion and a seven-figure settlement in the divorce proceedings.
Guobadia was deported from the United States in 2025 amid immigration issues.
