Daniel Kjellén, who sold his open banking venture Tink to Visa for $2 billion in 2022, has launched a new company focused on automating corporate compliance operations.
Freda, co-founded and led by Kjellén, emerged from stealth in September 2026. It is described as an agentic system designed to map and run an entire company’s compliance operation across any domain and framework.
Kjellén previously built Tink into what was described as Europe’s leading open banking platform. The business’s current partners include PayPal, NatWest, American Express, Revolut, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, Nordea and SEB.
The launch marks Kjellén’s return with a new venture following Visa’s acquisition of Tink.
