Tottenham could sell Destiny Udogie in 2027 if they receive a sufficiently substantial offer, despite the left-back remaining a valued member of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.
Udogie, 23, has made only two Premier League starts in Spurs’ opening seven matches after another season disrupted by fitness problems. He recently aggravated a knee issue during an impressive 74-minute performance against Manchester United.
Tottenham could consider a major offer for Destiny Udogie
Tottenham are not actively seeking to move Udogie on, but a report claims the club would consider a “huge” bid next year. The Italian is still highly regarded when fit, although Andy Robertson is currently ahead of him in the left-back pecking order.
The latest injury forced Udogie to miss the Coventry match, with Tottenham confirming on October 19 that he had suffered a knee problem against Manchester United. De Zerbi said the club had opted not to take any risks with his recovery.
Udogie has made 100 appearances for Spurs since joining from Udinese in 2023. However, he has reportedly missed about 36 matches for club and country over the past three years because of various injury problems.
His continued absence presents Tottenham with a difficult decision. Udogie offers pace, power and attacking drive from deep, and his display at Old Trafford underlined the qualities he can bring when available.
Robertson’s arrival has given Spurs greater cover on the left, while Ben Davies and Micky van de Ven can also operate in that area. That added flexibility could make it easier for the club to weigh up a premium offer.
If Udogie can overcome his fitness problems, he remains capable of regaining his place. But should his injury concerns persist, Tottenham may find a sizeable offer in 2027 increasingly difficult to refuse.
