Evidence from a third complainant is due to begin in the criminal trial of broadcaster Alan Jones at the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney.
The man, identified in court as “M”, is a former athlete who alleges Jones kissed him without consent on the corner of his mouth on two occasions. He also alleges that Jones pressed his body against his upper thigh during one of the incidents.
Unlike some complainants, M has chosen to give evidence from the witness box in the courtroom. Reporters are observing his testimony from a separate location within the court building.
Jones, 85, is facing 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching without consent relating to six male complainants over a period of 17 years, from 2003 to 2020.
Two complainants, known as “J” and “C”, have already completed their evidence. Jones denies that the alleged physical acts occurred.
