Arsenal and Manchester United are monitoring Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi as both Premier League clubs consider adding to their attacking options ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising young forwards after making a strong impact in Belgium. He has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions this season.
Arsenal and Manchester United track Club Brugge striker
Tresoldi’s form in the Champions League has attracted particular attention. He is currently among the competition’s leading scorers, level with established stars Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
The German-born Italy forward has already demonstrated his ability against leading opposition, scoring a hat-trick against Inter Milan in October. He has also scored against Aston Villa during Club Brugge’s European campaign.
Arsenal could regard Tresoldi as a long-term addition to Mikel Arteta’s attacking department, while Manchester United are also assessing ways to strengthen their forward line. The striker’s movement, finishing and potential are understood to have made him an attractive target for both clubs.
Arsenal have previously completed a deal with Club Brugge for Christos Tzolis and could look to do business with the Belgian side again.
Club Brugge determined to retain Tresoldi
Any move for Tresoldi is unlikely to be straightforward. Club Brugge do not intend to sell him during the January transfer window and want to retain the striker until the end of the season.
His contract runs until 2029, leaving Club Brugge in a strong negotiating position if interest develops into formal bids next summer.
Arsenal and Manchester United may also face competition from Tottenham and Chelsea, who are both monitoring the forward. Substantial offers could therefore be required to persuade Club Brugge to part with one of their leading young players.
