Derek Galanis, the estranged brother of Savannah Chrisley’s husband Jason Galanis, has questioned whether Jason has genuinely changed, alleging that he has spent his life conning people.
Speaking in an interview, Derek said he was unconvinced Jason had entered his marriage to Savannah for the right reasons. The couple are married and expecting a baby.
Derek pointed to Jason’s guilty plea to seven charges linked to two separate fraud schemes. He also referred to his father, John Galanis, as part of a family history of conning people.
Jason served time in prison, but Derek said he had no reason to believe the experience had altered his brother’s behaviour. He expressed hope that the arrival of a child might encourage Jason to change his ways.
Derek has written a book titled Greed and Fear: The Galanis Crime Family. In the interview, he also discussed whether he wanted to be involved in Savannah and Jason’s wedding and the details of Jason’s sentence being commuted.
