Arsenal are monitoring Michael Olise’s contract talks with Bayern Munich as they assess options to strengthen their attack. The France international is under contract until 2029, but Bayern are seeking a longer agreement after his progress in Germany.
The Gunners are understood to be paying close attention to negotiations over an improved deal, with a potential release clause emerging as a significant issue.

Olise’s representatives reportedly want an exit mechanism included in any new contract. Bayern, however, would only consider a clause set at an extremely high figure.
Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have also monitored the 24-year-old’s situation, but Arsenal’s interest is linked to their need for greater depth in wide areas.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard left during the summer, while Christos Tzolis is currently unavailable through injury. Olise is more naturally suited to the right wing, although his creativity and ability to play across the front line would give Mikel Arteta another attacking option.
The former Crystal Palace player has developed into a significant goal threat at Bayern, combining his one-on-one ability with improved decision-making.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany has also praised Olise’s attitude, saying: “I see his hunger every day. He’s a very hard worker. That’s the foundation, along with his talent.”
Those qualities would fit the profile of an Arsenal player, but a move would be difficult to arrange. Bayern have little reason to sell cheaply, and Olise’s valuation has risen considerably since his £50 million transfer from Palace.
Arsenal’s interest may therefore remain focused on the contract negotiations rather than an immediate transfer. Should a realistic release clause be agreed, the situation could become more significant for the Gunners.
