This season, though, has been a different story – despite Mercedes’ early dominance – with the signs suggesting that Hamilton could be a genuine threat to Kimi Antonelli and George Russell in the title fight. And now Hamilton has produced a…

Members of the British Medical Association were set to stage a four-day walkout next week, beginning at 7am on Monday. Junior doctors, now known as resident doctors, have been locked in a long-running dispute over pay. The walkout would have been their 16th round of strike action since 2023. Dr Jack Fletcher, chairman of the BMA’s resident doctors committee (RDC), said:…
A ‘devoted’ grandfather who had worked in the NHS for more than 50 years died after medics gave him an insulin injection by mistake, an inquest has heard. Donald Gough, 77, passed away four weeks after he was ‘erroneously’ jabbed with the substance at the end of a surgery at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The bowel cancer patient had agreed to an operation to remove secondary tumours in his liver and had been told it came with a maximum 5 per cent risk of death. High levels of insulin were found in Mr Gough’s body after he died on November 5,…
Trump has once again criticised former President Barack Obama’s JCPOA deal with Iran, saying that while Obama’s deal would have led Iran to a nuclear weapon, his does the opposite. “In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL,” Trump wrote on TruthSocial. “Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had,” he said.

It was parked meters away from the Caliente Stadium, where Iran is preparing for the team’s first World Cup game on Monday against New Zealand. ‘Upon inspecting the vehicle, they found a person…
New York has passed a first-of-its-kind law that could require 3D printers sold for use in homes and businesses to be fitted with technology that prevents them from producing firearms, in a novel attempt to curb the spread of untraceable “ghost guns”. According to the Associated Press, the measure — which is also being considered in California — marks a significant shift in how authorities are trying to tackle homemade weapons. Roughly a third of US states already restrict or ban build-it-yourself firearms that carry no serial number and so escape the background checks required when buying from a licensed…
Iran’s former supreme leader Ali Khamenei will be buried on July 9, state television reported Saturday. Khamenei’s burial, which will take place in his hometown, the northeastern holy city of Mashhad, was initially scheduled for March but postponed due to the Iran war. The dictator ruled Iran for nearly 37 years before being killed by Israeli and US airstrikes at the start of the war on February 28. Khamenei’s delayed burial has fuelled speculation about the condition of the former leader’s remains. According to Iranian media reports, the bodies of officials who also died in the attack were recovered weeks later and…
The Trump administration has barred Los Angeles County’s main homelessness agency from accessing federal funds while it investigates the agency’s alleged “wanton mismanagement of public funds.” The move puts at risk almost $200 million that LA area service providers count on to help California’s largest homeless population. In a letter Thursday to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development accused the LA agency of fraud, while also blaming it for failing to decrease homelessness. The agency failed to record when people left their motel housing, misused government money by using it to pay for services…
