Camille Grammer has accused her former husband, actor Kelsey Grammer, of failing to contact their daughter Mason on her 25th birthday.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member made the allegation on Instagram, claiming Mason had received neither a phone call nor a text from her father three days after the milestone.
Camille did not name Kelsey directly in the post, but appeared to make clear that her criticism was aimed at the Frasier star.
“A daughter should never have to wonder whether her father remembers her birthday,” she wrote. “Three days later, and still not a call or a text. 💔”
She added: “You can be a beloved actor to the world, but being a father is a role that requires showing up when the cameras are off.”
Camille said fame, accolades and public admiration meant little if someone neglected those closest to them. She concluded: “A mother never stops hurting when her child is hurt. 25 is a milestone birthday. Sometimes the silence is deafening, and the disappointment speaks volumes.”
Camille and Kelsey were married for 13 years before their highly publicised split in 2010. They also share a son, Jude.
Their relationship has remained strained, with Camille revealing in May that she and Kelsey had not spoken for 14 years.
A representative for Kelsey has been approached for comment.
