Police have released CCTV images as they investigate a series of alleged sexual offences against women using walking trails in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Three incidents were reported in the Narrabeen area between October 7 and October 8. Police allege that, in each case, a man approached women on walking trails, sexually touched them and rode away on an e-bike.
One alleged incident was reported after a woman walking near South Creek Road, by Narrabeen Lagoon in Wheelers Heights, at about 4.30pm on October 1 was approached by an unknown man. He allegedly touched her sexually before speeding away on an e-bike.
Two further women told police they had been walking near Bilarong Reserve, on Narrabeen Lagoon, between 5pm and 5.30pm on Monday October 12 when they were allegedly sexually touched by a man on an e-bike.
Police said the man made inappropriate sexual comments during one of the alleged incidents and are investigating whether the reports are linked.
The state’s sex crime squad has established Strike Force Mexvo. Detectives have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged under 25, about 175cm tall and of medium build.
Anyone who witnessed the incidents or has relevant footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
