Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly have been seen together on a romantic dinner date in Los Angeles, appearing relaxed as they shared jokes and gazed at one another over an evening meal.
The pair visited Casaléna, a Mediterranean restaurant on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, where they were photographed sitting beneath a green umbrella at the venue’s pavement-side stand.
Johnson, 37, wore a leather jacket with a faux-fur collar, distressed jeans and flats, carrying a leopard-print Prada bag. Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, kept warm in a hoodie, drawstring trousers, a beanie and a black leather jacket.
The outing is the latest in a series of sightings fuelling speculation about a relationship between the Materialists actress and the 36-year-old musician.
Rumours began circulating in September after Johnson and Kelly were reportedly seen arriving separately at Taylor Swift’s apartment in New York. Johnson was said to have entered the Tribeca property first, with Kelly arriving about half an hour later.
According to reports at the time, the pair spent several hours at the apartment before moving to a nearby hotel. Swift was said to have been out of town, while a source claimed she had previously allowed friends to use her New York properties.
Johnson and Kelly are also said to have first met in July as guests at Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden. Johnson had reportedly split from singer Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, the previous month.
Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly’s growing romance
Kelly was previously in an on-off relationship with actress Megan Fox, with whom he shares a 19-month-old daughter, Saga. He also has a 17-year-old daughter, Casie, from his relationship with Emma Cannon.
Johnson was previously romantically linked to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The couple were together for almost eight years before quietly ending their engagement in June 2025.
She has previously joked about her apparent attraction to musicians. In an interview published in Vogue, Johnson said: “They like me. I don’t know what to say. And I like them.”
Asked what was not to like about musicians, she replied: “A lot! A lot. Tricky motherf—ers.”
A source close to Johnson later said that she and Kelly shared a “dry and dark sense of humor” and that she had been visiting the studio while he worked. “For now, it makes her happy,” the source said.
Johnson has also spoken about wanting to become a mother, saying: “I really do. I didn’t expect to be this age and at this place in my life, but for whatever reason, that’s the plan of the universe.”
She added: “So I would love that. I hope that that happens for me.”
