Kaia Gerber has shared an emotional tribute to her late brother, Presley Gerber, saying she is struggling to find words to describe her grief.
The model posted a lengthy letter on Instagram alongside childhood photographs and video of the pair. She wrote that she was “quite literally, down on my f***ing knees” following his death.
Gerber remembered Presley as her protector and best friend, and said being his sister had always been her favourite thing about herself. She also recalled how he remained kind despite facing cruelty.
In one memory, she described being too frightened to have her ears pierced as a child, prompting Presley to go first. She wrote: “when i held the earring they took from your body, all i could think was: that belongs to you.”
Gerber added: “you always went first … and i really f***ing wish you hadn’t gone first this time.”
She ended the tribute by calling Presley the “one true love of my life”, writing: “i was born loving you. i will die loving you.”
The post came shortly after their mother, Cindy Crawford, shared her own tribute to Presley, describing him as a beautiful soul and thanking people for their love and support.
Presley was found unresponsive at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica on September 20, hours after checking in. Police have been investigating his death as a suspected overdose, with no foul play suspected, while his official cause of death remains pending further investigation.
