Keke Palmer was absent from the Emmys despite being announced as a presenter, leaving the reason for her no-show unexplained.
Palmer had been due to present the Outstanding Director for a Comedy Series award alongside Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernandez. Instead, Hernandez presented the prize alone to Hiro Murai for Widow’s Bay.
The actress had been active on social media in the hours before the ceremony, posting a promotion for her podcast.
Palmer has received six Emmy nominations during her career. Her sitcom, The ’Burbs, was also nominated at last week’s Creative Arts Emmys, but lost to Pluribus.
Palmer’s representatives have been contacted for an explanation, but no response has been received.
