A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital after a reported shark attack at Glenfield Beach, north of Geraldton in Western Australia.
The incident was reported at the popular surfing beach at about 9.45am on Monday. Two ambulances were sent to the scene shortly afterwards.
St John Ambulance said the man was taken to Geraldton Hospital under priority one conditions.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said it was working with local authorities to co-ordinate a response, with further information expected as it becomes available.
Beachgoers have been urged to take extra care around Glenfield Beach and follow any closures issued by local authorities or Surf Life Saving WA.
