Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have been filmed stopping to watch a herd of deer while riding their scooters through the English countryside, in a new clip shared by the Duchess of Sussex.
The 20-second video, posted by Meghan on Instagram on Sunday, shows the children travelling along a country lane with their black Labrador, Pula, before the animals suddenly gallop across the path just metres in front of them.
Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, are wearing matching blue and pink backpacks in the footage. Meghan can be seen walking towards them with Pula as The Temptations’ song My Girl plays in the background.
The scene offers another glimpse of the family’s life in the Cotswolds, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved in September after spending six years living in the United States.
The couple are understood to have received a warm welcome from neighbours since relocating. Their mansion in Montecito and a holiday home in Portugal are being retained.
Archie and Lilibet initially faced a change of school after traffic on the school run made one private school impractical. They are now settled at a new school in the Midlands.
Meghan has previously shared footage of the children enjoying the countryside during autumn. In one montage, they were seen splashing through a puddle, warming their bare feet beside an open fire and riding a bicycle towards deer in a park.
Another clip showed the family travelling in a rowboat on a lake, with Pula playing on the bank. The dog’s name means “rain” in Botswana.
Meghan also posted photographs to mark Harry’s 42nd birthday, including an image of him kissing Lilibet and another showing him carrying her bicycle. In a further picture, Harry drives a quad bike with both children seated behind him as Pula follows.
The Sussexes were also seen having lunch at The Falkland Arms in Oxfordshire last week. The pub is near Soho Farmhouse and close to a home owned by David and Victoria Beckham.
Harry and Meghan are due to make their first joint appearance since returning to Britain in Nottingham on Thursday. They are expected to visit the Community Recording Studio, where Meghan is due to take part in an acting workshop, as well as the Himmah food bank with the Hubb Community Kitchen and Epic Partners.
Their visit comes as Meghan continues work with her brand, As Ever, and charitable projects. She has partnered with Los Angeles organisation Moms Offering More on a sweatshirt supporting single mothers, while net profits from selected teas and jams are being donated to the Malala Fund during International Day of the Girl.
