Matt Renshaw continued his outstanding match for Australia by becoming the first Australian to reach 50 in the second innings in Durban.
The 30-year-old brought up the milestone with his sixth boundary, following his first-innings score of 190. Australia were 5-215, with Renshaw unbeaten on 52 and Webster on two.
Renshaw was also the only batter in the match to have passed 50, underlining the scale of his contribution across both innings.
Former Australia batter Simon Katich said Renshaw had reached the “sweet spot” of his career, with players including Hayden, Langer, Rogers and Katich himself having reinvented their careers after returning at the same age.
