Sarah Paulson has honoured her late friend Diane Keaton on the first anniversary of the actress’s death, sharing a message of remembrance on Instagram.
The 51-year-old American Horror Story star posted on Sunday, October 11, alongside a photograph of herself laughing with Keaton and her daughter, Dexter.
“One year. Impossible. Laughing with you will always be what I remember most. I love you,” Paulson wrote.
Keaton died in October 2025 after battling pneumonia for several days.
A week after her death, Paulson said she had been unable to speak publicly about losing her “very dear friend”. Speaking to Access Hollywood, she said Keaton had been “even more spectacular as a human being” than she was known to be as a performer.
“I was the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life the way that I did,” Paulson added.
Diane Keaton’s children pay tribute
Keaton’s children, Dexter and Duke, also marked the anniversary of their mother’s death with tributes on Instagram.
Dexter shared a photograph from her wedding and wrote: “One year without you, mom. It somehow feels like yesterday and forever ago all at once. I’m still trying to get used to a world where I can’t call you, have you there for a hug, or go on adventures with you.”
She added: “It’s the everyday moments that remind me just how much I wish you were still here. I love you and I miss you. Always.”
Duke also remembered his mother, writing: “I love you Mom Thinking of you every day”.
Paulson had paid tribute to Keaton earlier this year on what would have been the actress’s 80th birthday.
