Reality TV star Kash’s sister has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after Kash was fatally shot during a brawl in Oakland, California.
The Alameda County District Attorney filed the felony charge against 38-year-old Vernika Dunbar following the shooting on Sunday morning.
According to the Oakland Police Department, Dunbar intervened when a woman was fighting with her sister, initially attempting to strike the woman with the butt of a gun.
Police allege that Dunbar then fired the weapon, hitting Kash. She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Kash was known for appearing on reality programmes including Real West Coast Baddies, Room H8z and Young & Reckless.
The night before the shooting, Kash posted videos on Instagram showing herself enjoying an evening out.
