Ibrahim Maza’s Arsenal transfer links have gained attention after the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder named the Gunners among the clubs he dreams of playing for.
The 20-year-old has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and has made an encouraging start to the season, recording four goals and two assists for Leverkusen. Maza, who was born in Germany and represents Algeria internationally, addressed his future while discussing the possibility of joining one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
“Of course, it would be a huge dream to play for such a big club one day. I think we all know what a huge club Paris is. They are one of the best clubs in the world, alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal,” Maza said.
“Playing for a club like that is something not only I am working towards, but many other footballers as well.”
Maza’s comments do not amount to an indication that Arsenal are preparing a bid, but they underline the club’s standing in the eyes of one of Germany’s emerging attacking talents. He has also been linked with Manchester United.
Arsenal’s interest has been reported alongside those links, with Maza viewed as a potential long-term option in attacking midfield. His progress at Bayer Leverkusen is likely to keep him on the radar of leading clubs across Europe.
For now, the Algeria international’s reference to Arsenal represents admiration rather than a confirmed transfer development. However, his form and reported interest from major clubs could make his future one to watch.
