Arsenal are reportedly prepared to let Viktor Gyokeres leave if the striker decides his future lies away from the Emirates Stadium, with interest growing among clubs in Europe and the Premier League.
The Gunners are seeking to recover the £55 million they paid for the Sweden international. A January move is considered unlikely, however, as Mikel Arteta is reluctant to reduce his attacking options during the season.
Gyokeres scored 21 goals in his debut campaign and established himself as an important part of Arsenal’s forward line. His role has since diminished, with Kai Havertz understood to be ahead of him in the pecking order.
The lack of regular playing time has reportedly frustrated the 28-year-old, who could reassess his position if his involvement does not improve. Arsenal would face a difficult decision should he push for a transfer, given his goalscoring record and value to the squad.

Clubs from Italy, Spain and the Premier League are said to be monitoring the striker’s situation. His reputation as a prolific scorer means Arsenal could attract serious interest if they make him available.
Even so, the north London club is not expected to sanction a mid-season departure easily. Arsenal would want to maintain sufficient cover for their various competitions and identify a suitable replacement before agreeing to a permanent sale.
Gyokeres is therefore expected to consider his options at the end of the campaign if he remains outside Arteta’s preferred side. His future could depend on whether he can regain a prominent role at Arsenal or concludes that a move elsewhere would better suit his ambitions.
