At least five people have been killed in a shooting at a market in Krakow, Poland, after a man opened fire from a car, police said.
About a dozen people, including police officers, were treated for injuries following the attack. The suspected gunman was shot and taken to a nearby hospital, although his current condition is not known.
The shooting took place at around 3pm after the suspect drove into Rynek Glowny square and fired at people in the crowd and a tram.
Krakow’s public transport operator, MPK Krakow, said neither the tram’s passengers nor its driver had been injured.
Police said the suspect is a Polish citizen and denied reports that a second suspect was involved.
