Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep the England captain at the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2029.
The striker has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, establishing himself as one of the most prolific forwards in the club’s history.
Kane’s 73 goals for club and country last season, including six for England at the 2026 World Cup, helped him become the first English winner of the men’s Ballon d’Or for 25 years.
He has won two Bundesliga titles during his time in Germany, with the first arriving in 2025 and representing the first major trophy of his career. He also lifted the German Cup last season and the German Super Cup over the past two years.
The 33-year-old has claimed the European Golden Shoe twice in the last three years and finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his three seasons at Bayern.
Kane has also captained England to the Euro 2024 final and their best World Cup finish since 1966. Earlier this month, he equalled Peter Shilton’s England appearance record by winning his 125th cap.
Harry Kane has more to give at Bayern Munich
Sky Sports News analyst Michael Bridge said Kane was “very happy” at Bayern, adding that he and his family enjoyed living in Munich.
Bridge said Kane had developed a strong relationship with Bayern players and manager Vincent Kompany, and suggested the forward still had plenty to offer despite his age.
“Listen to the Bayern Munich director saying we don’t usually negotiate deals for players at this age. But I’m telling you this – he might be 33 but there’s still a lot more left in the tank for Kane, there’s absolutely no doubt about it,” Bridge said.
