Harry Kane has signed a new Bayern Munich contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until 2029 and reportedly make him the highest-paid player in Europe.
The England captain, 33, has agreed a three-year extension after establishing himself as a hugely successful signing since joining Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.
Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances for the Bavarian giants. His form also helped him win this year’s Ballon d’Or, further enhancing his standing among the leading players of the modern era.
The new agreement makes Kane Bayern’s highest-paid player ever, as well as the best-paid player in Europe at present, according to reports.
Harry Kane commits future to Bayern Munich
Kane said he was delighted to extend his stay in Munich and spoke of his strong connection with the club, its supporters and the city.
“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich,” he said.
“We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.”
Kane added: “My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”
With the contract due to expire when Kane is 36, the decision could see him finish his playing career in Europe at Bayern. A later move to Major League Soccer or another destination remains possible, while a return to the Premier League now appears less likely.
