Collin Gosselin has accused his mother, Kate Gosselin, of manipulating his sister Hannah as the family prepares for the release of an upcoming Netflix documentary.
Speaking on The View on Thursday, Collin claimed Hannah discussed their childhood while filming the programme and corroborated his allegations against their mother, while also sharing experiences of her own.
He said he believed Hannah was now attempting “pre-damage control” because of pressure from Kate. Collin suggested that financial support or Hannah’s relationships with their siblings could be used to influence her.
The claims followed a statement posted by Hannah on her TikTok story on Wednesday, in which she said she was stepping away from the family dispute. She said she had not spoken to Collin in almost a year, while maintaining relationships with Kate and her siblings.
Collin disputed that account, saying the pair had met several times during the past year and that he had photographs to support his version. He added that he believed Hannah was caught in the middle of the dispute and should not be expected to choose sides.
Collin has previously accused Kate of physically and emotionally abusing him during his childhood. The allegations are set out in his recently released memoir, In the Shadow of Eight.
Kate has not publicly addressed the specific claims made in the book. Her attorney has previously denied that she intentionally harmed Collin, saying her actions were intended to protect the family.
Netflix has announced a documentary featuring Collin, Hannah and their father, Jon Gosselin, examining the family’s experience of growing up in the spotlight.
