A fatal crash on Interstate 45 in Montgomery County has closed every northbound main lane at Gladstell Street, creating major delays around Conroe.
Houston TranStar said the incident was verified at about 5.02am on Sunday, 25 October, with one vehicle listed as involved. The closure also affects both the left and right shoulders.
At least one person was killed in the collision, while police and emergency crews remain at the scene investigating and clearing debris.
The crash has led to extensive northbound traffic backups in the Conroe area. Drivers have been advised to leave I-45 before reaching Gladstell Street and use alternative routes where possible.
Motorists unable to divert should expect significant delays while the investigation and recovery operation continue.
