Police are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting a 39-year-old woman at knifepoint in Central Park, New York City.
Officers were called to the area near East 66th Street and Fifth Avenue shortly after 8.30pm on Saturday, where they were told an unidentified man had approached the woman while carrying a knife before attacking her.
The woman was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition, according to police.
No arrest has been made and detectives have not released a description of the suspect. The New York Police Department said its investigation remained ongoing.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
