Firefighters extinguished a blaze at an Ace Hardware store in Seagoville, Texas, early on Wednesday, 14 October, after flames broke out in an external storage area and slowed traffic on US Highway 175.
The Seagoville Fire Department was called to the store at 550 North US Highway 175 at about 6.11am. Smoke rising from the building was visible on cameras operated by the Texas Department of Transportation.
Fire crews brought the fire under control before it could spread further. The store sustained minor smoke and water damage inside, while traffic in the area was affected as emergency services dealt with the incident.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire had not been established. Ace Hardware was due to remain closed on Wednesday as a safety precaution while the damage was assessed.
