Four students have been arrested over an alleged hazing incident at Boyd High School in Texas, with two 17-year-olds charged as adults.
The Boyd Police Department began investigating after receiving a criminal complaint on September 3. Officers said the alleged incident took place inside the school’s field house.
Chason Lee-Earl Tucker and Noah Davis, both aged 17, are accused of injury to a child causing bodily injury, a felony, and unlawful restraint. They have been booked into Wise County Jail.
Two other students were also arrested but have not been identified because they are juveniles.
Boyd High School hazing investigation
The police department said in a statement issued on September 4 that it was gathering evidence and interviewing people connected with the case. It said the investigation remained active and that officers were working to establish whether any violations of Texas law or school policies had occurred.
Police have not released details of what allegedly happened or identified the two younger students. The department said its ability to provide information was limited because the case involved juveniles and was still under investigation.
The allegations have not been tested in court. Tucker and Davis are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
