Four people have been killed and two others injured in a head-on crash on Highway 260 in Navajo County, Arizona.
The collision happened at about 12.30pm on Monday, September 7, near Camp Shadow Pines, roughly two miles west of Heber, according to the Forest Lakes Fire District.
Four people died at the scene, while two others were airlifted to hospitals in the Valley. Their conditions have not been released.
The Arizona Department of Transportation introduced alternating traffic in both directions near the crash site as emergency crews cleared the road and investigators examined the scene.
The identities of those killed have not been made public. Officials have also not said what caused the collision.
Detectives from the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Vehicular Crimes Unit are leading the investigation. The department said impairment had not been ruled out.
