Hilary Duff has released Holiday Things, a five-track Christmas EP featuring three original songs and new versions of two seasonal classics.
The 39-year-old singer co-wrote the original tracks, including “All You Want for Christmas is Me”. The collection also includes a re-recording of Wham!’s “Last Christmas”, which Duff first recorded for her 2002 album Santa Clause Lane, alongside a reimagined version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.
Announcing the release, Duff described her feelings about the festive season as a mixture of enthusiasm and restraint.
“everyone who knows me knows I lovvvve and also have a complicated relationship with Christmas and the holiday season,” she wrote on Instagram. “I live for the Christmas spirit … traditions, music, decorations, sweaters, shopping, gingy bread houses and more more more … I also like it to be concentrated and back in my attic by Jan 1!”
She added: “So enjoy this EP … let’s listen hard, then pack it away and hit it again next year! Enjoy! Love you all”.
Holiday Things is Duff’s latest music release of the year, following her album luck… or something and “CATastrophe”, a song recorded for The Cat in the Hat soundtrack.
Physical editions of the EP are available on vinyl and CD, alongside new merchandise. Duff is currently touring in Australia and is due to perform on selected dates of iHeartRadio’s upcoming Jingle Ball Tour.
Her The Lucky Me Tour has also been extended through November 2027.
