Mark Geragos has responded to allegations that he was leaking information about Jane Doe’s case against the Cornell 7, after the woman’s lawyer identified him in legal filings opposing a proposed gag order.
Thomas Giuffra argued that he had only spoken publicly to counter negative reports about his client. In the same filing, he alleged that defence information was being passed to the media through Geragos.
Giuffra suggested that Geragos’s daughter, Teny, could be relaying information from her work representing one of the Cornell 7 to her father, who would then pass it on. Teny has denied the allegation.
Geragos addressed the claims on the latest episode of the “2 Angry Men” podcast, where he and Harvey challenged Giuffra’s explanation for appearing on television.
The discussion included Giuffra’s assertion that his public comments were responses to negative stories about Jane Doe, rather than an attempt to influence coverage of the Cornell case.
