Sean “Diddy” Combs has been taken to hospital from the federal prison in New Jersey where he is serving a 50-month sentence, after suffering what was described as a non-life-threatening head injury.
The 56-year-old rapper was transported by ambulance from FCI Fort Dix at about 1am on Saturday. The circumstances surrounding the injury remain unclear.
Combs was reportedly conscious and speaking when he returned to the prison before sunrise.
A representative for Combs said his management team was working to establish what had happened.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” the representative said. “Sean’s health and wellbeing are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Combs was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His release date was initially set for June 2028, but has since changed several times, with the Bureau of Prisons now believed to have scheduled his release for 2 March 2028.
