A 51-year-old woman has been arrested after police found about 200 high-school pupils drinking at her home in Old Westbury on Long Island, with two teenagers taken to hospital.
Officers were called to the property on Pinetree Lane following reports of a medical emergency involving a 16-year-old who had consumed excessive amounts of alcohol.
Police said they found a second teenager, aged 17, who was also heavily intoxicated. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
At the house, officers allegedly discovered a large gathering of under-age guests with access to beer and other alcoholic drinks. Numerous teenagers reportedly showed signs consistent with alcohol consumption.
The homeowner, identified as Efrat S. Fridman, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and violating Old Westbury’s Social Host Law.
Ms Fridman was released on a desk appearance ticket and is due to appear in court at a later date.
Authorities have not said when the gathering took place or whether Ms Fridman knew the teenagers were at the property.
