A woman is fighting for her life after a three-car crash in Berkshire Park, in Sydney’s west. The driver, who is in her 30s, was trapped in a Mazda following the collision on Richmond Road shortly before midday.
Emergency services freed her from the vehicle before she was treated at the scene for head and limb injuries. She was then taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police said a Ford Ranger ute and a Kia Sportage were also involved in the crash. The male driver of the Ford, believed to be in his 30s, was not injured, while the female driver of the Kia was also unhurt.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision. Richmond Road was closed in both directions after the crash, but the Transport Management Centre later confirmed that all lanes had reopened.
